You're right. Other teams will try to copy. But, they won't think that Boston has the arms to do it. I can see those AAA guys with 6 ERA's real soon.

Exactly. If it works out in Boston, I CAN see more teams trying it in an attempt to trade some guys. Those enigmatic AAA guys who just never seem to break through - bring 'em up to the bigs, pitch 'em every 6 days and hope something good happens. The other problem with a 6 man rotation is it takes away either a bullpen player or bench player. Granted, in the case of the Red Sox, there's Tim Wakefield who can pitch in any role - but he's obviously a special case.

Totally agree about the AROD thing. I remember when the Yanks were going to try 6 guys. But, as of now, the Sox do have 6 quality starters. I think it's a win-win for them. They can give someone an extra rest once in a while or just keep going with the 6. Like I said, I can't see this becoming a wave of the future because not too many teams will have 6 quality, healthy arms, you know?

It's Saber, from over at OS. Great job... and here are some comments:

* I think the ARod "sweepstakes" will be the most overrated part of the summer. Fact of the matter is only 5 or 6 franchises are both interested in himm and have the money to aquire him.

*As for the 6 man rotation, the Yanks were rumored to be doing the same thing and were beset by injuries. I'm not sure that any organization is so well run they can field 6 above average pitchers. Granted the Red Sox don't necessarily have to with some of the offensive weapons they have, but my point is still valid.
