Tigers lower select ticket prices & freeze pricing on all other seats for 2010

DETROIT – In an effort to continue providing Detroit’s No. 1 sports value, the Detroit Tigers have lowered select ticket prices for both season ticket and individual games, and maintained all other pricing for the upcoming 2010 season. The Tigers have also rebranded seating sections and created ticket plans to afford fans more savings and greater value. Deposits for season tickets and partial season plans are now being accepted.

“The Detroit Tigers organization will continue to provide fans and families with a viable opportunity to enjoy a day at Comerica Park,” said Tigers President, CEO & General Manager David Dombrowski. “We are especially grateful for the passionate support Tigers fans demonstrate each season, and our focus has been to remain a value-based and affordable entertainment option.”

The Tigers have lowered season ticket prices for over 4,500 seats at Comerica Park and all other season ticket holders will see no price increase in 2010. Full season and partial plan ticket holders will continue to enjoy a discount on their seats. Individual game tickets have also been lowered in select sections.

The two rebranded sections include the Lower Baseline Box Seat, lowered by as much as $9.00 per ticket, and located in sections 112-114, 141-143, and the Upper Baseline Box Seat, lowered by $5.00 per ticket and is located in sections 334-337.

In 2010, the Tigers will continue offering close to 5,800 seats (Kaline’s Corner, Upper Reserved, Skyline and Bleachers) at $12.00 or less with ticket prices at $12, $10 and $5. The lowest priced seat, the $5.00 ticket, is available at any of the 81 home games.
