Padres Claim Rhp Radhames Liz Off Waivers

The Orioles today announced that RHP RADHAMES LIZ has been claimed off of waivers by the San Diego Padres.

Liz, 26, appeared in two games for the Orioles in 2009, allowing 10 earned runs in 1.1 innings of work. In eight starts for Double-A Bowie, Liz was 4-1 with a 2.63 ERA (48.0IP, 14ER) and in 17 games (six starts) for Triple-A Norfolk, Liz was 0-3 with a 5.68 ERA (44.1IP, 28ER).

After signing with the Orioles as a non-drafted free agent in 2003, Liz appeared in 28 games (21 starts) for the Orioles from 2007-2009, and was 6-8 with a 7.50 ERA (110.1IP, 92ER).
