INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Houston Astros have completed yesterday’s trade with Florida by sending infielder Jorge Jimenz to the Marlins as the player to be named later.
The Astros selected Jimenez off of the Pawtucket Red Sox roster in this morning’s Rule V Draft at the Winter Meetings in Indianapolis and then included him in the trade with the Marlins that brought RHP Matt Lindstrom to Houston. The Astros also sent two minor leaguers, infielder Luis Bryan and RHP Robert Bono as part of the trade.
