PEORIA, AZ. – The Mariners today issued the following signing update.
The Mariners have agreed to 2010 contracts with the following players:
Pitchers (11) – Danny Cortes, Doug Fister, Ryan Feierabend, Shawn Kelley, Ricky Orta, Garrett Olson, Edward Paredes, Ryan Rowland-Smith, Kanekoa Texeira, Jason Vargas, Anthony Varvaro.
Infielders (2) – Mike Carp, Jack Hannahan.
Outfielders (3) – Ezequiel Carrera, Greg Halman, Michael Saunders.
Catchers (2) – Rob Johnson, Adam Moore.
These signings bring the total of signed players on the Mariners Major League 40-man roster to 37.
Players that have yet to agree to a 2010 contract include: LHP Luke French, INF Matt Tuiasosopo and RHP Sean White.
All 40 players will be signed or renewed by March 11.
